"She collasped on the training field, clutching her head," Dornovarn said, his gaze snapping at those nearby, "I told her to breathe, which she did, then passed out. You're the healer, not me." he stepped away from Athena, looking around. He spotted Taled. "Boy, what are you doing?" Although he'd tried in the beginning, Dornovarn no longer tried to keep track of how many errand boys were about. After all, they died soon enough that it scarely mattered most times. it was when you recognised one three orfour times you bothered to ask his name.
'Be still,' the voice of cold satin whispered in his mind, 'be still and don't go too far. Ineed to be close to her.' Dornovarn snarled at the restirction, but stood quietly, witing for the boy to answer and for the woman with the bird to come to investigate. She looked familiar, but he couldnt' figure out why...

"Standing here, what are /you/ doing?" he asked smirking grimly. He looked at the lady, he did not remember her, but, he had not been out on the training feilds for many long spaces of time, generally he was just passing, therefore he had not come across her many times before, and now she was unconcious. He wondered what really had happened to her, I mean, you don't just pass out do you? Surely not.

[Woman with the bird? Elaine has no bird..]
Elaine took Athena's right hand and placed it on her lap, pressing her thumb lightly against the bottom of her wrist, measuring her pulse,"She's...been attacked by a mysterious source of Dark Magic..." Elaine said out aloud and felt around again to confirm her diagnosis. With a nod, she placed the Mage's hand down and cast a simple Cure spell on her to help increase the chances of Athena reviving soon enough,"She should be fine. She'll probably wake up in a couple of hours." Elaine looked at Dornovarn, another shade of pink appeared on her face.

Aria walked over slowly, and then nodded her head to Dornovarn. "Leader." She said simply, the eighteen year old's voice calm and collected. Yasur looked down at the boy with fire red eyes, before turning to Dornovarn again. "The healers should take the girl to the Medical Tent, just for now." She told him, as she looked out of the corner of her eye to the boy. She then thought to herself... 'Mor'Har, have you seen this boy before?'
A calm, safe sounding, young woman voice answered her within her own mind, ~No Aria. I would remember the face of this boy in the tent... if we had seen him.~ The goddess within her answered back, as Aria turnned to the boy.
"You have not been here before. State who you are and why you are here."

"Boy," the words came out in bored drawl, a silky sound, "come here." If he had any gift in magic, it could be said that Dornovarn added compulsion to the phrase. It would be a fool who disobeyed him. The hand on his shoulder left him and he leant back against the pole and stared at him.

"We do not have to do that now. The Leading Mage should rest here." Elaine replied to Aria, the Second-In-Command of the Light Army. She covered the blanket for Athena and turned around, looking at the boy,"Now he's got nothing to say." Elaine thought and waited for him to reply who he was and why he was here,"I've been trying to get that out from him..." she gave an inaudible sigh.

Taled looked to Aria the Second-In-Command of the Light Army and then to Dornovarn, which one was he suposed to listen to? It was much easier just to answer the lady but then, why would he answer truthfully. He stared sideways at the lady before stepping towards Dornovarn, it was easier this way, plus, he didn't feel he really wanted to get on the wrong side of this man, whether he would get on the wrong side of the other two at the same time or not.

"Good," Dornovarn said with a smile that didn't reach his eyes, "who are you, who sponsored you and what are you doing here?" His eyes never left the boy's, but the smile that twisted his lips changed the expression on his face to a mask of controlled amusement. Of course, anyone who knew the man who have thought better than to take the expressionas it was. Beneath the mask, cold rage was whispering, much more dangerous than its heated cousin.
'She will live,' the satin voice said in his head, 'and I will find you. Tell Katarn the Rose comes.' And the presence was gone, leavingDornovarn to face the loss of his Leading Mage alone. And the new second-in-command. Now that would be an interesting converstaion to have... but not then, all that mattered was that he find out who the boy was and deal with him appropriately.

Taled stuck out his tongue before stucking in a breath, "Taled Mullion." the boy stated firmly, his eyes flicking from each person in the tent, the unconcious mage, the second in command, and the others before back to the man who had addressed him. "And I already told you that I was just standing here. Plus, what do you mean by sponsor?" Taled asked, he was a messenger for the light, when he wanted to be anyway, but he wasn't the brightest of sparks.

"You shall deal with that insolent child and I shall take my leave..."Elaine said quietly and curtsied before leaving the tent,"Why do I even bother trying?" she thought, walking out of the tent, twirling a strand of her auburn hair around her index finger,"He doesn't even pay any attention to me...Might as well give up..." Elaine strolled over to the wooden fences and leaned against it, looking up at the full moon whose moonlight spilled over her, lighting up the streaks of her hair,"No! How can you even think of that, Elaine? Stay strong." a voice said to her. Elaine looked back down at the grass and closed her eyes as a light breeze blew by, the folds of her dress fluttering in the wind.

With a grin that could have scared even the most battlehardened soliders, Dornovarn looked to his new second. "Bring him to the command tent, if he resists I'm sure there are those who wouldn't mind restraining him." He looked at the boy then, his eyes midnight pools of calm. "I am Dornovarn Temdias, Leader of the Light. Right now, I want nothing more than to have a polite chat with you in the comfort of my quaters. You decided you don't agree with me on that, I'll declare you a 'guest', and let other men pry the answers from you."
With a smile, he turned and walked away, heading for his tent without a thought more towards the boy. If his second couldn't handle the task, he'd demote her. If the boy behaved, he may just swear him into proper service and make sure the men taught him manners. The grin turned feral. The boy had no respect for those above him, but he knew which peple he couldn't push. Dornovarn just hoped Taled wouldn't push him to do something he may regret later...
As he got to histent, he grabbed a passing man and ordered him to take a wrapped package to Elaine with a note. He'd been rude, and there was no excuse for it. he only hoped the token would make up for his behaviour. It was never a good idea to get Healersupset with you...

"Nu-huh, I don't want to go have a 'chat' with you. I'm quite fine here." Taled replied quickly, his voice was stern, but his thoughts were wavering, he just hoped that the light had more mercy than the dark side had when it came to not talking. He had given up manners a while back. They got you nothing with the dark, and he betted that they got you nothing here either, so, he was not going to go out of his way to help or do as they say.

"You should really go back now, Elaine. There's a draft here." the voice came again. Elaine opened her eyes and looked up at the stars again with one final look, she released her hands from the prickly wooden fence and walked back to her tent where Taled, the boy was still there,"Aren't you supposed to follow him?" she snapped and sat down on her bed, eyes noticing a soldier carrying a package with a note on it.
"Your Highness, the Leader has asked me to deliver this to you." he bowed and handed Elaine the package with both hands politely.
"Thank you. You may take your leave." Elaine said as the soldier bowed again and left curtly. She glanced at the note first, eyes recognizing Dornovarn's familiar handwriting:
"Elaine, this is for you. My apologies for upsetting you earlier on. I hope that you will take good care of it as it was my mother's. With Regards, Dornovarn."
Elaine smiled and set the note down and proceeded to open the package, staring at Taled,"You should really leave my tent now." she said, wanting to unwrap the package in private.

Athena began to stir, her blue eyes slowly regaining vision,"Ah...What happened?" she asked, sitting up straight and eyes meeting...Princess Elaine,"Oh! Your Highness! I'm sorry to disturb you! I should have known better than to tread into your premises without your permission!" Athena began to get out of the matress.
"Stay calm, Athena. You have merely passed out earlier on while training." Elaine said gently,"I did? All I remember was a very sharp pain hitting me at the back of my head..." she recalled quietly, sitting back down.
"It was Dark Magic that caused it. Someone in the Dark Army must've sent a telepathic jolt of energy to all the Light side soldiers/mages/warriors who have psychic abilities so that they could bring us down one by one. You should know, Athena, that the other Side always has ways to get to the Light." Elaine explained patiently, her hands stopped unwrapping the package.
Athena glanced down at the package in Elaine's hand and said,"Aren't you going to unwrap that?" Elaine smiled,"Yes. Of course I am." she slowly removed the parchment that wrapped the present up. Inside, a pendant of a four-sided star and a crescent moon lay there with a silver chain in the hook at the top. A sapphire stone was encrusted in the center of the star, gleaming brightly. Elaine picked it up by the chain and looked at the pendant in awe,"It looks...Really nice! Who was it from?" Athena asked, loosening up a little.
"Dornovarn...The Leader." she replied quietly, gazing at the pendant. Elaine opened the lock of the necklace and wore it around her neck,"It looks perfect on you." Athena commented.
For Elaine, it was one of the best memories of her life that she had ever had.

Taled crossed his arms, what if I don't want to leave now?" he asked boldly, his eyes glazing over the lady, Athena, who had just woken up. He stared at her for a few minutes before looking back at the ground. A necklace was pretty nifty, he guessed, pretty valuable too. He took a small step forward. Disobeying her and the leader of the light obviously had just gotten him on the very wrong side of a pretty important guy, and the princess, and probably this other lady as well. Great.
