This is the training area for all the light soldiers and creatures. It has an archery range, dummies for slashing at, targets (moving and unmoving) for magic, and everything else required for training. Any light soldier or creature may come here to train if they feel like it.

"Oh, I'm Athena. Age 17. Well, I guess that we're in the same boat huh?" she sighed and pushed open the wooden gate leading to a grassy arena which was the Light Army's training grounds. Dummies, broken arrows were all over the place. Soldiers/ warriors were duelling each other, eyes fixed with determination and concentration,"So...What do you want to do?" Athena asked, hoping she sounded offhand.

"Guess so." Draconia said to herself, looking around at the broken dummies. There were still two which were relatively untouched. Draconia walked to the first one and pulled an arrow out of its head. "I guess we could train on these." She said, pulling one of her swords out of the straps on her back. She gazed into the distance. There were two moving dummies further ahead. "And those too." She said to the young mage-summoner, pointing a finger at the dummies which whirled around in quick motion.

"Alright." Athena replied, preparing for a battle. She stared at the revolving dummy and asked,"Enemies will not spin around like that, will they?"she asked nervously and looked over at an arrow just flying past her, missing her face by a few inches.
[ Sorry for the short post. I have to go!]

Iolani strode on to the Training field, her auburn hair flowing behind her. Pulling her bow from her shoulder and knocking an arrow on it's string, she let fly a shot so straight and true that it easily landed in the dead center of the target. From the corner of her eye, she noticed two women on the other end of the field, also training. Uninterested, she knocked three arrows, releasing all of them at once, each of them landing near the center of the target. Continuing her practice session, she shot her arrows until she had none left. When her quiver was empty, she set that and her bow on the grass.
Her hands moved so quickly, it was impossible to track her movements with the human eye. She made a series of symbols with them, and suddenly transformed into an elegant, ferocious Lanner Falcon. Flapping her broad, muddy-colored wings, she launched into the air and flew at the target, using her long talons to yank out the arrows and deliver them to her quiver. Once this chore had been finished, she landed beside her bow and changed back, beginning the drill over again.

Dornovarn stood, alone, at the edge of the training field and watched the warriors move through their paces. He sighed. They had all seemed so eager when they joined, filled with desire, until they realized that the war had been going nowhere fast. He shook his head, it didn't do to dwell on such thoughts. It was because he hadn't done more than plan for the last few days that he was feeling melancholy. A grin touched the corners of proud lips and Dornovarn rested a hand on the sword at his side. he'd been away from the field too long.
"I should be training," he said quietly, the smile reaching his dark blue eyes, "the same as any other solider in this accursed war." With that, he made his way to one of the unoccupied sections of the field and began to warm up, intending to go through the dance-like Rikiri, unarmed combat displays that translated well to the blade.

"I think i'll be using my magic abilities. My physical attacks are not fantastic," Athena shook her head and muttered a simple spell for the element of fire, the crystals on her rod turning a light shade of orange. The dummy stopped spinning immediately and stood there, flames burning,"You have got to be kidding..." she said out aloud and cast a water spell, once again the crystals on her rod turning light blue as water came gushing out of nowhere onto the dummy, leaving it soaked. Athena sighed and went closer to the dummy, muttering another spell as steam became coming out of her rod. She placed it near the dummy and it slowly became dry again,"I think I prefer duelling." Athena said to Draconia, her eyes gazing over at Dornovarn, the Leader of the Light Side.

Stance, hold, breathe, move. Stance, hold, breathe, move. Dornovarn slowly went through the first basic movements, intent on getting the actions right, if nothing else. He moved with a calmness he hadn't felt in days and as he blocked out the sounds of the training men and women, he felt hi body relax. Stance, hold, breathe, move. Stance, hold, breathe, move. Carefully opening his eyes, he picked up speed as he went through the movements again, until each blurred into the other, a fluid dance on the training field.

Athena stared at Dornovarn with a weird expression on her face,"Is he...Dancing...of some sort?" she asked Draconia uncertainly, looking in their Leader's direction. Many others who were also training stopped, eyes catching sight of a dancing silhouetted figure under the setting afternoon sun.

Draconia noticed everyone getting into their training, and thus she reckoned she should now do the same. Locking on to a wildly spinning dummy and started to run rapidly forward, dragging the tip of her sword through the grass. She finished it off with a flying leap and a really quick slash. For a moment it seemed as if nothing had happened to the dummy. Then its straw head began to slide off, and eventually landed on the ground with a muffled thump. Half of its remaining body soon followed suit. The dummy had been neatly dismembered. Draconia stood back, seemingly satisfied with her handiwork, then proceeded to do the same with the other spinning dummies.

"Fascinating skills you have there." Athena commented, but did not do anything else except stand there and watch Draconia fight off the other dummies who were spinning around. They started to make her dizzy as she watched them for a tad too long,"Can we have a duel after this? I can't fight the dummies unless I use Magic, which you saw the results of it earlier on." she gave an inaudible sniff and set the bottom end of her rod down on the grass with a thump.

Iolani noticed as the Lead Mage came on to the practice field. She had not yet really met the woman, but knew her by title. It seemed from watching her training that she did not specialize in any of the elements, but did a little bit in each one.
Being an archer, she did not usually use combat weapons, but did know a little of how to fight using only her hands and feet, though her somewhat slight stature might not show it. It would be interesting to see what anyone else knew. "I am also looking for a sparring partner," she said, walking over to the small group. Her fighting style was very different from the Light Leader's or Draconia's, but it still worked.

"Oh, well then, would you like to have a friendly duel?" Athena asked with a smile, her weapon at the ready,"Just a warning; I prefer to use my Black Magic skills then attack you physically." she grinned, mind set in determination and concentration,"Where would you like to go? I'm fine with whatever decision." Athena shrugged casually.

"Surely, as long as I'm allowed to use my magic as well." Iolani said with a smile. Her dark magic was one that she hadn't seen before. This would get interesting. "I think we should just go out on the field where there's open space."

"Of course you are, if not it would be a rather unfair adversary, don't you think?" Athena responded with a small tinkle of laughter,"Hey Draconia, Iolani and I are going to the other side to duel." she said to her friend before leaving quietly, the two walking towards a big grassy place,"You ready?" Athena asked, her rod out, the crystals dancing around happily,"Ready when you are."
