"Ready!" Iolani shouted, crouching down so that her fingers touched the grass. Then, with a magnificent leap, she jumped up high above the Mage's head, and landed directly behind her. Once back on the ground, she whirled around with a kick aimed at Athena's ribs.

Athena quickly generated a pink magic shield that stopped the attack from hitting her square in her chest,"Water!" she murmured, sprouts of water bursting out from the ground around their duelling area, splashing wherever they could go.

Iolani immediately leapt into the air again, this time swiftly tranforming into her falcon form, then diving at the mage with her razor talons bared. The water could hinder her human form, for it made the ground too weak, but in the air it did nothing.

Athena glanced up at the soaring falcon above her as it came closer and closer. She crouched down quickly and swooped over to the other side, her skirt billowing in the rapid motion. She raised her rod and said,"Thunder! I'm not using Thundara because it really causes a headache!"she shouted. A strike of thunder zapped out from her weapon, staying on it for a few moments. Athena moved her rod over at the falcon, aiming to let the strike hit the falcon who was Iolani.

"No!" Io yelled in a broadcasted mental telepathy. "There's water on the ground and you're using lighning?" She said this as she dove into the ground, landing quickly and heavily on a wet patch of grass, talons sinking in the mud as she watched the lightning lash towards her. If the lightning struck her now, it would strike Athena as well.

"ARGH!!" Athena yelled as the mental telepathic message rang through her mind,"It must be those spinning dummies! I was getting too dizzy and...Wow, I nearly immobilized us both..." Athena sighed quietly and quickly touched the middle crystal and the lightning immediately stopped emitting out from her rod,"Sorry about that." she gave Iolani her hand and pulled her up.

Iolani reverted quickly back to human form as she gratefully took Athena's hand. "Don't worry about it," she said as she wiped the mud from her dress. "But I think we're good for today, aye?"

"Yeah, that's it. I'm tired..." Athena pulled her up and said,"Well, I guess I'll see you around then." she waved and walked back to Draconia, who was still practising on the dummies,"You're on it for pretty long. Let's go take a break, shall we?" Athena asked her friend.

Iolani gave her a wave, then walked away. There was much more of the camp yet to explore.

Dornovarn had watched the display of magery in tight-lipped frustration. How could the mages allying themselves with the Light be so reckless? He pushed the thought down, pushed it away, forced it from him as he concentrated on breathing once more. Walking over to Athena and Draconia, he smiled, a gentle kind of expression that would have had Katarn running for cover.
"May I have a word, Magess?" he asked politely, bowing and gesturing for her to preceed him from the training ground. Behind his smile, his teeth were clenched, and the expression did nothing to lighten his dark blue eyes. He just hoped she'd have enough sense to follow protocol.

"Sure." Athena said to the Leader,"He looks upset...Oh no, those dummies have really caused enough trouble for one day!!" she looked frustrated and had half a mind to burn up all those dummies when the War is over. She began to walk over to the other end of the arena when a sharp pain jabbed her,"Uh..." Athena closed her eyes, a stabbing pain shooting her in the head. She dropped her rod and fell on the grass on her knees, eyes squeezed tightly,"Make it stop!" she sent a telepathic message to anyone who had psychic abilities around her for help.

Dornovarn was at Athena's side in a moment, his hands light on her shoulders. Looking at teh woman, he realised there was something wrong that he couldn't help, something that was related to being a magess.
Swearing, he looked up at those around the training grounds, searching for someone who could help. The swearing didn't help, nor did the looking. "Athena, breathe, in and out," he said, his voice calm,"tell me what I can do to help." There was no question in his voice, it was filled with all the command he possessed. Even then, he doubted it would be enough to reach the woman trembling beneath his hands. He couldn't imagine what she was going through.

Athena, who was still in tremendous pain, obeyed her Leader and began to take in deep breaths,"AGH!!" another sharp pain hit her straight in her chest,"HELP!!" she let out a telepathic scream. Athena lost grip of herself. She blacked out and fell into a heap on the grassy arena, her arms stuck out at odd angles.

Dornovarn really did swear then, scooping the unconscious mage into his arms and heading to the closest tent. It wasn't the infirmary, becuase that would have been sensible and Dornovarn was past the point of being sensible right then.
"Flame it, someone get a healer!" His voice rang over the camp, echoed in the air, slammed into tents. If a healer didn't hear that... As he kept walking, his strides smooth so as not to jar the body in his arms, he felt something strange settle on his shoulder. It was as though someone had rested their hand there, but he knew no one was beside him. 'Stay with her, stay with her and I will help,' a young woman's voice said in his head. Having grown up around mages, it was easy for Dornovarn to accept the words. But they didn't belong to anyone he knew. They belonged to someone who feltlike cold satin and roses. Brushing thatfrom his mind, he carried Athena through the tent flap.
OoC: Shoud we continue this in The Tent thread?
