"That should be alright. But as a young child, is he ready for battle against the Dark? Blood will be shed and many lives will be taken, Leader." she said in a matter-of-fact tone and shook her head, her long locks cascading over her sparkly eyes. Elaine glanced up at the moon, her head held up high,"The stars are strangely bright tonight..." she murmured to herself, hands behind her back.

"Elaine, if he's not ready to fight, then he'll be killed in flight, age is not a factor for the Dark." Dornovarn almost snapped at her, but thought better of it. Idealistic royals, was that what he was fighting for? Risking brave men and women for? He hoped not. "I'm the Leader of the Light because our last one decided that too many lives had been lost and tried to organise a truce. We know what the Dark did to him. I will not let more of my people die than have to, which is why Wesley is so important. he knows what he's doing with small numbers." Dornvarn shrugged before turning to her with an almost warm smile. "Why don't you take our best healers, and those other people we really can't afford to loose, and whatever supplies you can, and set up another base away from here?" There was a pause as he considered something, "and don't consider this a request, be it's not."

"Yes." Aria said, nodding. "I will see for Mages and Healers for behind lines and a group to stay here. Is that good?" She asked, brushing her hair back, as Yaur flew upwards and off. Aria gripped her bow tighter, Yasur flew off to find anything as a warning or to watch over camp grounds. It wasn't normal for him to fly off randomly without meaning, so mostly it was to watch over different areas.

"Yes, but remember, I need every person who is considered invaluable or irreplacable strategically away from here." Dornovarn frowned, tiled his head so his chin was near his chest and closed his eyes. "twp units of archers, three infantry are to stay in the hills, hidden, until I give the command. I'll be with them. Go, do what you can Aria, because there may come a time soon that I'm not here to ask." There was a teasing in his smile, and his voice, but none in his midnight eyes as he opened them and looked at her. Instead, a pain and rage were barely hidden. Someone had something gifted to another, and Dornovarn had given the gift... It was a shame for them that the gifty and its owner were so important to the Light Leader that he was prepared to embrace the Darker aspects of himself.

"Yes, Leader. I understand your situation." she replied with a curtsey, looking slightly startled at Dornovarn's tone of voice earlier on. "When shall we go? Most of all, where?" Elaine asked, hoping it wasn't a Dark Land, but surely the Leader knew better than to place a group of Healers and Mages there right? They are the most vulnerable among all of the Realm of Aravaen.
[Argh, short post. Sorry, my muse has blown! ^^

Suddenly, Dornovarn grinned. It was an expression mingled of rage, pain and predatory determination. He turned to Elaine. "Take the mages, all of them, into the foothills, take a messenger with you. I don't want to see them here come supper. Take whatever you need supply wise, and a unit of warriors or archers, your choice. Go, now." The commanding tone in his voice was not to be dismissed or questioned, the cold rage that had been building in him was finally sweeping through him in all its sweetness.
"Aria, take command, I don't want anyone questioning your decisions, understand?" He smiled slowly. "There are plans in the command tent for strike foreces to harry the Dark, implement them now. They know we're coming, but not how, make sure it stays that way. The less units we lose, the better. And make it clear that only the savable are to be sent to the mages. If they could be brought into active use, send the injured to the mages, if they have knowledge we could use later, send them to the mages. If they're just grunts, let them die. The Dark will try to make our numbers our weakness. Everyone stays in formation, no one breaks, or I will hunt them down myself."
There was a pause as he looked over the training yards, towards the area where the animals were kept. "I have a few things I need to do, should Katarn-"
"You wanted me?" The blond man appeared at his Leader's side, not quite out of breath but obviously the worse for wear.
"The Rose is coming, when she gets here make sure to set up a safe place for her to work from, and guard her."
"Where will you be?" Katarn was clearly confused, and worried, as he ran a hand through his hair. He hadn't seen Dornovarn like this since the mission that earned him Leader status.
"They have Nyx, and they know we'll come for her."
Katarn swore. "What has Wesley suggested?"
"His usual, stealth."
Katarn nodded. "All right, you go off, take as many men as you like, we'll-"
"Do what must be done?" Dornovarn smiled, the expression not touching his dark blue eyes. "I know you will."
The two men stood, staring at each other, knowing that the time for talk and planning was done. The Dark had made their move clear, the Light was to have the first strike. It wasn't an unexpected choice for the creautres of the Dark, but there was an element they may not have counted on. They had only seen Dornovarn when he was mildly annoyed, and determined not to lose ground. Never before had they threatened something that belonged to him. That would be their mistake, Dornovarn would make it the first, and worse one.

This time, Elaine looked more frustrated than ever had she been in her entire life. She forced back a few tears and retorted,"Fine, I shall not bother you any longer. I know you hate me." without awaiting a reply, she ran off, clutching her dress as she was afraid to fall on her long clothing.
"I thought he was different..." she thought, choking on her tears as she headed for her tent, not bothering to look back at the Leader for his reaction.
[Yeah, I know. She's petty..]
