Swift feet of the night touched upon the ground of the cold earth, nothing but a passing whisper on the ground.Cold, steel gray eyes scanned the area for anyone who might be wandering around the Forbidden Woods, a full-grown dragon not too far behind from the figure, who appeared to be a female - a woman.More or less, the young girl was cautious for anyone who wasn't on the dark side, her training prepared her for everything making her insticts and senses much stronger and a little more relieable.
"Jilos....Do you hear anything?" The figure asked the dragon,"No, not yet." Replied the dragon with a deep voice, looking around with his deep blue eyes, his sapphire scales glinting in the moonlight.Nightfall was the girl's strongest time of night, being as she was a night elf - or partly. She was part night elf and part human so night was her strongest time of the day, being an accomplished summoner helped also with her defense and preparation for the upcoming war.
A sigh escaped the lips of the girl as she walked with her dragon companion coming up beside her,"What's wrong, little one?" Jilos asked with curiousity obvious in his voice."Nothing.." She replied with a soft voice.

The wolf's sensitive ears picked up the sound of footsteps. Human footsteps, and one of another creature, whom it could not place. The hulking black canine form darted across the dirt path that lead across the wood. The soft whispers of the trees were soothing lullabies, making their music to the rhythm of the night breeze. The wolf's red eyes peered left to right, spotting the two strolling figures, one obviously a human, the other...it looked like a dragon. The red eyes eerily glowed in the shadowed dark, as the creature watched the pair. This wolf was none other than the air elemental and shapeshifter, Xarin, back from his little performance at the dark training ground. He was taking his own night walk, as the Forbidden Wood was nearby the camp.

The girl stopped, seeing something, her steel gray eyes watching carefully about the Forbidden Wood. She spotted something dart and told Jilos to be prepare through mind, walking cautiously again as she looked around, if she was going to find who was there she might as well ask.
"Whoever you are come out, now!" She said with a firm voice, not being frightened anymore by whatever this was, she didn't care who or what the person was but the better be on the side she was on or there was going to be trouble, the came being nearby so they could probably hear a commotion if there was one.

The wolf decided not to hide anymore, thus it leapt out of the bushes and morphed into a young man with chin-length silver hair and eerie, ice blue eyes. He turned his gaze at her, the hem of his black tunic fluttering in the wind. Then he turned to look at the dragon. The four evil-looking weapons on his belt shimmered faintly. "I'm here. What do you want?" He asked, his voice holding a tinge of suspicion and slight distaste. "If you're from the light side, don't even think of talking to me." He added venemously, running a pale finger along the edge of one of his blades to emphasize his statement.

She watched as the wolf leapt out of the underbrush, morphing into a young man who looked very suspicious. The steel gray gazed upon him, her dress fluttering a little in the breeze, she saw him watch Jilos whom was prepared and on his toes(not literally), the sapphire scales gleaming in the moonlit forest, her summoner's staff's charm glinting, getting caught from the light on of the pale moon,"Me?On the light side?" She asked, before bursting out laughing with amusement, her voice becoming stern again,"You amuse me, I'm on the dark side.Trust me on this I even signed the roster. But enough with that, what are you doing out of camp?"

"Just taking a little leisurely stroll." Xarin replied, lifting his eyes to the canopy of twisted tree branches. "What a pleasant place this is at night isn't it?" He added, a sadistic smile tugging at his lips. His ice blue eyes gave out a faint glow in the darkness, making him all the more eerie. "It's nice to relax after training you know. And now my turn. What are you doing out of camp?" He asked, his eyes scanning the woman inquisitively. He continued to run a finger up and down the length of one of his weapons, enjoying the feel of the cold steel.

"I see." The girl replied, still watching him cautiously and suspiously, the lifted her gaze to the pale moon, only seen particaly because of the twisted branches of the tree which twined into each other making puzzle sort of shapes."I suppose so, but it's more relaxing with company, but still peaceful." A faint smiled tried to play upon her face but she did not let it, the steel gray eyes getting a little sparkle to them from the moon, a sigh escaped her lips."I'm out of camp because I wanted to walk, I couldn't sleep, and besides I already did my night practice.I usually practice during nightfall because of the strength of the dark, and the fact I'm part night elf.." The woman replied with a slight hint of pride, which seemed to be barely there.

Xarin gave her a sincere smile, one of his rarest. He stopped running a finger over his dangerous weapon and looked to the canopy once more. Yes, this night was rather peaceful wasn't it? Even the whispering trees seemed silent today. He watched the fog twirl in funny shapes in between the huge wooded trunks of the dead trees. Fractions of the moon's dim glow passed through tiny gaps in the branches, a few of which now illuminated part of his face. His icy eyes filled with even more inaudible laughter as this dark optimist continued to stare at the partially-hidden moon.

Linka gentle smile which quickly faded, not want to it seen, but it he did catch a clipse it wasn't going to hurt anyone. Looking back at the dragon, her soft voice spoke to it,"Go back to camp, Jilos..." The dragon nodded and lept up into the air, taking flight towards camp, his wings flapping so loud you could still hear them a little once he was at fairly good distance. She returned her gaze to him from watching her dragon take off, she watched him and pondered questions in her head, but then soon melted away into the back of her brain.

Xarin did not say anything, except to gaze up at the canopy for awhile more, as if examining the intricate patterns created by the gnarled branches. He even looked at the dark green leaves, some of which drifted from above onto the ground. The breeze whispered hidden secrets, and he listened, although he couldn't understand. After a few more minutes of canopy viewing, the air elemental turned his gaze back to the young woman. His mind was extremely placid and relaxed right now. Maybe the night did that to you.

She smiled at him a little before getting a horrible screeching noise in her head, and everywhere in the forest, anyone could hear it, shutting her eyes quickly then reopening them just as fast. Linka looked around, needing to find whatever was making the horrible screeching, she winced as the screech went higher and every more horrible with voice cracks every so often.Stumbling around towards a tree, she put her hand out towards it and covered her ears once her back was up against the tree, everything getting doubles, her vision blurry, what was going on?

A horrible high-pitched screeching suddenly snapped the air elemental out of his thoughts. Xarin shielded his ears whilst squeezing his eyes tight. The sound was ear-piercing and could make anyone's ears bleed, but Xarin was resisting, and so far it was working, although it cut into his mind and gave him a splitting headache. He sank down to his knees, the blades clinking against the ground as he tried his best to block out the horrible noise. He noticed the young woman also reacted to the noise in a terrible way. He had to find the source. His eyes darted around in panic. But he was trying to calm himself down.

The screech echoed through-out the Forbidden Wood, making every animals scatter rapidly, she fell to her knees, dropping her summoner's staff and looked at, now blurry, man whom also seemed to react to the sound. She managed to stand up and stumble over to him, going to help him up but the screech got louder and she covered her ears once more whilst still stumbling over to him, her staff lying on the ground where she fell.

Xarin noticed the woman stumbling towards him, obviously to help him back up. But he forced himself to stand, and took his hands off his ears, wincing as he bore the sound. Even if he had heightened resistance as an air elemental, the sound still hurt him mentally. He then moved as fast as he could to help Yuria up, then picked up her summoning staff and handed it back to her, while still bearing the sound of the screeching. But now it seemed to fade...Xarin looked to the canopy. It still seemed the same. The forest trees? They bore no reaction to the screeching. What was happening?

Linka took her staff and looked around, deciding she had to find whatever was making the screech, making the bottom of her staff hit the ground, feeling the vibrations in the ground from the screech's maker. She mentally made a trail to the target and looking deep into the forest, into the darkness and fog."I found...it.." She said quietly, trying to resist the screech's spell and temptation. She didn't think she could properly walk and that wouldn't be good for either of them,"You need to follow my path, mentally..... If open your mind I can make mind contact with you called a mindlink..."
